Zen essential oil blend, is my fresh, earthy blend of Lime, Bergamot and Vetiver, formulated for those times when you want to feel more settled, clear and back on an even keel.
Lime and Bergamot bring a light citrus freshness, while Vetiver gives the blend its grounding depth. It prevents the citrus oils from feeling too sharp or fleeting and leaves Zen with a beautifully balanced aroma that is fresh without being overly bright and earthy without feeling heavy.
I enjoy using Zen when my thoughts feel busy, when I need to concentrate without reaching for something too stimulating, or when I simply want the room around me to feel more settled and comfortable.

Zen Essential Oil Blend is for those times when you do not need more energy, but you are not looking for complete stillness either. You simply want to feel a little clearer, more grounded and back on an even keel.
That is where Zen comes in.
I formulated Zen using Lime, Bergamot and Vetiver essential oils. It has a fresh citrus opening, followed by the deeper, earthy aroma of Vetiver that gradually becomes more noticeable as the blend diffuses.
Lime brings a clean, lively freshness. Bergamot softens that brightness and adds a gentle citrus warmth, while Vetiver gives the blend its depth and holds everything together.
Without the Vetiver, the citrus oils would quickly disappear into the room. Without the Lime and Bergamot, the Vetiver could feel too deep and earthy. Together, the three oils create a balanced aroma that feels fresh, grounded and easy to live with.
Zen is a lovely choice when your thoughts feel a little crowded, when you want to concentrate without using a particularly energising blend, or when the atmosphere around you needs to feel more settled.
I often reach for it while working, reading or having a quiet moment at home. It is also a good blend for rooms where you want a fresh aroma but do not want anything overly sweet, floral or minty.
As with all my formulations, I did not choose these oils simply because they smell lovely together. Each one has its own part to play within the blend.
The Lime and Bergamot bring lightness and freshness. Vetiver brings depth and steadiness. The result is an aroma that may help you feel clearer and more grounded while creating a balanced atmosphere around you.

One of the most fascinating aspects of aromatherapy is how instinctively people respond to different aromas. Over the years I have often seen people immediately drawn to a particular blend without quite knowing why.
In many cases it is simply the body recognising what it needs at that moment. This is why you may find yourself returning to the same aroma again and again.

Bergamot softens that brightness. Its citrus character is gentler and more rounded, helping the blend feel open and fresh without becoming overly stimulating.
Vetiver provides the contrast. Deep, earthy and grounding, it anchors the two citrus oils and gives Zen its distinctive depth. It is what stops the blend from simply becoming another bright citrus aroma.
Together, the three oils create something I particularly like about Zen: it feels fresh and grounded at the same time.
As the blend diffuses, the initial brightness gradually settles and the deeper Vetiver begins to become more noticeable. That changing character makes Zen particularly suited to moments when you want a clearer atmosphere around you without creating something sleepy or overly restful.
I would choose Zen when I wanted to take some of the noise out of a busy day, create a calmer workspace, spend some quiet time reading or reflecting, or simply make a room feel more balanced.
